Everyone understands that the extractive industries, particularly the mining disturbs the earth, over the last decade in Peru, the mining has expanded through the tops of the mountains. To get an ounce of gold, the amount of land that must be removed is nearly 30 tons. Somewhere in our country, half a million tons of earth are dug every day, literally they move mountains, there are no tunnels, are open pit mines. They are doing mining called Invisible gold because it is microscopic.
There is a social license that is much more important than the government licenses, social license is granted by the people of the community and unlike the government license is renewable every day... build trust with people who live and work there for centuries is the most important because communities are increasingly more involved in their own destinies, thinking of that child, that grandson undamaged deserves to know the steps of his history. That land that hosts their past, their present, their future; is not seen in the form of bullion and never will look at hills clothed in money, instead they’ll look at it bathed in life where they’ll get their good morning... where they’ll get their good nights.
